Threatened Services Safe Til December

Three under threat bus services will continue operating until at least December.
Leicestershire County Council has extended the contracts for the number 33 town service in Market Harborough, the 44 that links the town with Foxton and Fleckney, and the 58 that runs between Market Harborough and Lutterworth.
It subsidises those routes, although placed them ‘at risk’ last year, as part of a county-wide review aimed at saving £400,000 year.
The council says it expects to announce the results of the review for the Harborough area in late summer, when it will consult with passengers on the outcome.
