A driver was caught travelling at 113mph during Harborough Police action on the A6 over the Bank Holiday weekend.
They were one of a number stopped by officers for speeding offences on the bypass between Kibworth and Great Glen, and now face a potential driving disqualification.
PC Paul Farrar from the Priority Policing Team, one of the officers involved, said: “People are using this stretch of road as a racetrack.
“Such excessive speed will not be tolerated and we will take action to prosecute.”
The action continued this morning, with several vehicles were seized for a variety of offences, including no insurance, a driver having no licence and keeping a foreign registered vehicle here without declaring it as an import.
