Car Crashed Down Embankment

A woman was taken to hospital after her car crashed down a steep bank at the side of the A6 bypass between Kibworth and Great Glen on Sunday morning.

Fire crews first had to stabilise the Peugeot 207 to stop it slipping into a water-filled ditch before cutting her free.
The vehicle had collided with the central reservation before leaving the carriageway.
The casualty – thought to be in her early 30s – wasn’t seriously injured.
