‘Wanted’ Man Arrested

A ‘wanted’ man approached Police officers to discuss crime in Market Harborough on Saturday night.

He was promptly arrested though, on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle, following an incident earlier this month.

Officers say even the 34-year old involved recognised the irony of what happened, and told them he was unaware he was wanted.

They described it on Twitter using lyrics from the Alanis Morissette song – ‘Ironic.’

As we sit minding our own business we are approached by a bloke who wants to discuss criminals active in Harborough town….he seemed to forget he was wanted for a theft of motor vehicle. Now in our cells. Isn’t it ironic don’t you think….1524

The man was interviewed and released under investigation, pending further enquries.
