Coach Park Plan Progresses

A planning application is being prepared for a new car and coach park in Market Harborough town centre.

It’s after the Council completed the purchase of a parcel of land adjacent to the Market Hall Car Park off Northampton Road from supermarket Sainsburys.

There would be spaces for coaches and around 30 cars if permission for it is granted.

£400,000 was set aside in the authority’s budget for the development.

There have been calls for some years for a dedicated place for coaches – it’s hoped touring companies will add Market Harborough to their lists of places to run trips to, if a place for vehicles to park easily is available.
