A fundraising drive to help a Market Harborough dance school owner battling cancer has smashed its original target of £800.
Over £1,300 has now been raised for Sophie Williams, who is isolation in hospital, awaiting a major 14-hour life-saving operation.
The fundraiser was launched to buy some kind of laptop/tablet computer with unlimited internet access, Sophie, 48, owner of Ministry of Dance, can easily video-call her family and friends, as the hospital’s Wifi does not stretch to where she is.
The extra money will be used to put on a celebration party, once she has had the operation and has recovered.
Sophie’s friend Cate Whitmore set-up the fundraising:
A Dance-A-Thon is taking place tomorrow at the Welland Park Academy to boost the fund even more and you can support the fundraising HERE
