Developers Withdraw Application

Developers have withdrawn a planning application to build homes of the site of Bowden Fencing in Great Bowden.

Councillors had been due to consider the proposal for 31 homes on the site this evening, with planning officers recommending the scheme for off Leicester Lane was turned down, saying it goes against the village’s Neighbourhood Plan, as it would result in the loss of land in commercial use.

When the application was lodged earlier this year, the company told Hfm it is likely to shut if the homes plan went ahead, as it had no plans to re-locate.
