Operation Sceptre Success

Leicestershire Police have hailed their week-long operation to target those carrying weapons, and engage with hundreds of people, a success.
Operation Sceptre, which started on March the 11th, was part of a national campaign designed to deter and detect the carrying of knives – and saw 20 arrests in the county.
Here, officers reported 20 knives deposited in their Harborough knife bin during the amnesty – although none was detected during their operation with the knife arch at the railway station last week.
