Care Home Plan For Ambulance Station

Plans have been revealed to build a specialist care home on the site of Market Harborough’s Ambulance Station.

The 76-bedroom facility is proposed for the Leicester Road site, which is being sold by East Midlands Ambulance Service for around a million pounds, as crews are co-locating to Police Station later this year.
Frontier Estates, a leading developer in the care sector, say the home will enable those with significant care needs to remain in the living locally.
Development Director Sam Rous said: “One of the key benefits will be to enable those with significant care needs to remain within their local community in a high-quality development featuring en-suite bedrooms and a wide range of amenity facilities including dining rooms, lounges, hairdressers and café.
“This is all about meeting the care needs of residents in an environment which feels like home and offers variety in their day-to-day lives.”
The site has been For Sale for over a year
A public exhibition is being held tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Methodist Church between 2pm and 7pm for people to find out more about the plan.
The company is set to submit a planning application in March.
