Disqualified Driver Jailed

A man has been jailed for 20 weeks for driving while disqualified and with no insurance.

Karl Mason was arrested by Police after being caught behind the wheel on Kettering Road in Market Harborough on June 23rd last year.

Loughborough Magistrates convicted him yesterday, after hearing the 40-year-old, of Welland Avenue, Gartree, had been banned from driving three months earlier.

He was given a further 12 month driving ban and ordered to pay a fine and costs totaling £300.

Investigating officer Pc Paul Farrar, from Market Harborough Police Station, said after the hearing: “If the court says you will not drive, then don’t drive!”
