Bus Improvements Come Into Force

Users of the X3 bus between Market Harborough and Leicester are being reminded a new timetable has started today.

Operator Arriva agreed to better co-ordinate services so they no longer run at similar times to the Stagecoach X7 buses, which use the same route.

There should now be a bus every half-hour running along the route during daytime hours.

There are also changes to where the Arriva buses stop in Kibworth to make it easier for passengers, with them now calling at Brookfield Way on New Road, rather than the cemetery, so people no longer having to cross the busy road to reach the bus stop.

In Great Glen, buses going to Market Harborough will join the A6 at Archers Roundabout, where it is easier to pull out into traffic compared to the Burton Brook slip road.

The changes follow calls from Harborough MP Neil O’Brien, who held a meeting with both operators earlier this year following concerns from passengers.
