Police have launched a clampdown on drivers using mobile phones on Harborough’s roads.
New research shows it can impair driving as much as being over the drink-drive limit.

Leicestershire Police is backing a national campaign to raise awareness and catch offenders, who face a £200 fine and six points on their licence.
Many drivers are concerned about illegal mobile phone use by other drivers – it’s been the top concern in the RAC Report on Motoring for four of the last five years.
Jonathan Clarkson, from Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Road Safety Partnership, spoke to Hfm:
