‘Drugs Dog’ Used By Police In Town Centre

Police used a ‘passive drugs dog’ during patrols in Market Harborough town centre and around the railway station on Friday night.

The dog is trained to sniff out illegal substances like cannabis and ecstasy, just by walking past people.

Officers say a number of searches were carried out after the dog, named Storm, indicated people could be carrying such drugs, although none were found.
