Woman Awakes To Find Burglars In House

Heartless burglars have stolen Christmas presents and other items from a house in Desborough after waking up the homeowner who was asleep upstairs.

The woman then came face to face with the intruders – a man and a woman – who then fled from the house on Ironwood Avenue at about 4.15am today.

Police say the occupant wasn’t injured, although has been left shaken by the ordeal.

The burglars, who also stole jewellery and cash, got in by forcing open a kitchen window at the rear of the property.

Both burglars were wearing dark clothing, the woman is described as being in her early 20s, with blond hair.
