Written by HFM News on 1st September 2022
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a driver died in a crash on the A47 near Skeffington yesterday morning.
The man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene, after his white BMW 6 series car was involved in collision with a lorry near the B6047 junction.
The collision happened on the eastbound carriageway just before 11am.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from people who saw what happened, but left the scene before Police arrived and who may have seen the car before the crash.

Detective Sergeant Ed Des-Chanelle, from Leicestershire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “I’m particularly keen to speak to anyone who was travelling on the A47 and saw the BMW prior to the collision occurring – namely between 9.20am and 11am.
“I’d also ask any motorists with dashcam footage to come forward.
“Furthermore, I believe there may be people who saw the collision occur but left the scene prior to police attending.
“Any information you’re able to provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help our investigation.”
