Written by on 28th October 2021

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was injured in a crash on the A6 Market Harborough bypass yesterday.

The 50-year-old man’s Yamaha MT-09 Tracer bike was involved in collision with a silver Chevrolet Lacetti car just after 2pm – around a half a mile from the Welham Lane junction.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries described by Police as not life-changing or life-threatening.

Both the motorbike and car were travelling south from the McDonald’s roundabout towards the Rockingham Road/A427 roundabout.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage and also want to speak to a driver who stopped at the scene while the man was being treated by medical crews.

The road was closed while emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, attended the scene and reopened at around 4.20pm.
