HFM understands recent filming on the Brampton Valley Way was for scenes to be in the new Peaky Blinders film.
A stretch of the popular pathway near Kelmarsh was closed for a week last month and a large compound created to accommodate vehicles related to the filming.
Although makers of the much-anticipated movie will not confirm they were at the location, a casting call went out earlier this year requesting extras to be involved in filming in the Kelmarsh area, believed to be for the film.

A Freedom Of Information request has revealed West Northamptonshire Council charged over £5,700 for Brampton Valley Way to be used for filming.
However, it would not divulge what it related to, saying the details were ‘confidential’.
The section of pathway closed included the Kelmarsh Tunnel.

No release date has yet been announced for the Peaky Blinders film, being made by Netflix and BBC films productions, which will see Cillian Murphy returning to portray Tommy Shelby.
Also reprising their roles from the BBC TV drama, which ran for six series, are British actors Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle.
The production company behind the new film told HFM it would not comment on previous or upcoming filming locations.
