Warning Issued After Tumble Dryer Fire In Market Harborough

A warning has been issued to people with tumble dryers after a fire at a house in Market Harborough.

A clogged filter is thought to have caused the machine to set on fire at the property in Ashley Way yesterday morning.

Firefighters were called just after 9.30am, but when they arrived the fire had been put out.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to frequently clean filters, to have dryers serviced regularly and to never leave appliances running unattended or overnight.
