Warning & Appeal After Woman Steals Wallets

Police are appealing for information after wallets were stolen from two houses in Billesdon yesterday by a distraction burglar.

During both incidents between 2.40 and 3.15pm in Market Place and Knights Close, a woman called at the door saying she needed help to get a taxi.

She took the wallets while the home-owners were trying to assist.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone else who had a similar call or noticed a woman acting suspiciously in those areas.
