Unemployment In Harborough District Falls For Second Month

There has been a slight drop in unemployment in the Harborough District, for the second month running.
1,865 people were out of work at claiming benefits in January – 65 less than December’s figure, when the number fell for the first time in eight months.
The jobless total is still more than double the figure before the first lockdown last year.
The figures, released the Office for National Statistics, show 360 people aged 18 to 24 are out of work and claiming benefits and 980 people aged 25 to 49 are unemployed.
