Trees Wrecked By Vandals To Be Replaced Thanks To Generous Donation
Written by HFM News on 26th March 2021
Trees wrecked by vandals at Little Bowden Recreation Ground will be replaced with ones donated by Coles Nurseries in Thurnby.
Staff contacted Harborough District Council with the generous offer, after hearing about the mindless damage last weekend.
Seven newly-planted trees were snapped in half late on Saturday or early on Monday morning.
Vince Edwards from Coles spoke to Hfm:
The Council is set to take delivery of the trees next week and will then arrange planting them.
It has thanked Coles for the gesture and says it is a ‘really positive bit of new’ following the mindless vandalism.
