Tree Works Close Welland Park Play Area

The children’s play area in Market Harborough’s Welland Park is closed for up to a week so tree works can take place.
Some trees need to be removed and a spokesperson for Harborough District Council said: “For safety reasons Welland Park play area will be closed for up to a week from today, to allow contractors to complete essential tree works.
“Nine trees will be removed for various health reasons, however all trees will be replaced.”
It is the latest improvement work to be carried out in the play area this year, which has led to it having to be closed.
