Train Station Deserted As Latest Strike Begins

Market Harborough Railway Station is deserted this morning as staff working for East Midlands Railway strike again.
Member of the RMT Union have walked out for 24 hours in the on-going row over pay, conditions and potential job losses.

There is a severely reduced train service operating today, with passengers advised not to travel by rail unless absolutely necessary.
East Midlands Railway say there is likely to be a knock-on effect to services tomorrow too.
The strike action is affecting rail services across the country, with staff at a number of operators taking part.
