Town Centre ‘Masterplan’ Approved
Written by HFM News on 21st June 2022
Councillors have approved a plan which details a raft of proposed improvements to Market Harborough town centre.
It includes making areas more pedestrian-friendly, installing new street furniture, providing more cycle parking and creating extra green spaces.
The authority is bidding for £9m of government ‘levelling-up’ funding, which if successful would fund some of the measures.
The money would also go towards the development of a new two-screen cinema and café/bar and creating a Cultural Quarter between Adam and Eve Street and Church Square.
The Masterplan was given the green light at a meeting of Harborough District Council last night.
