Harborough’s rail users are bracing themselves for three days of disruption later this month.
The RMT Union has confirmed its members at East Midlands Railway will join what would be the biggest strike since the 1980s.
They are due to walk-out on June 21st, 23rd and 25th in a row about pay, jobs and pensions.

Staff at another 12 train operators across the country have also backed the industrial action.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Railway said: “This will have an impact on the level of services which East Midlands Railway is able to operate.
“EMR has extensive contingency plans in place and will run as many services as possible. Service information and timetables will be available very shortly.
“Please continue to check the EMR website, information in stations and social media for the latest advice and information.”
