A day centre in Desborough has been left without the use of its minibus after thieves stole the catalytic converter.
Marlow House need the vehicle to transport people to and from its base on Gold Street and to distribute food for its meals on wheels service.
The community trust which runs the centre, for elderly and vulnerable people, now faces a bill of over £1,000 to replace the part, as it is not covered by insurance.
The theft happened between February 24th and March 3rd while the Renault minibus was parked outside the centre.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them, quoting reference number 23000143374.
