Tesco Present Theft Victim With Giant Xmas Hamper

A pensioner who fell victim to callous distraction thieves in Market Harborough says she is ‘overwhelmed’ after being presented with a hamper full of Christmas goodies by staff at Tesco on The Square.

The 83-year-old had over £3,000 taken from her bank accounts after they stole her purse when they preyed on her in a town centre car park.

Staff at Tesco were so appalled at what happened they wanted to do something special for her for Christmas, and have handed over the hamper with items in totaling over £200.

The pensioner, from Welford, say the gift has helped restore her faith in human nature, after being left badly shaken by what happened.

Police want to speak to these people in connection with the theft, which happened in the Waitrose Car Park on Springfield Street.

It happened at around 2.15pm on November the 14^th.
