‘Technical Issue’ Leaves Police Unable To Answer Calls

A major technical fault left Leicestershire Police unable to answer phone calls for around five hours today.

All 999 calls had to be diverted to Northamptonshire Police during the outage, while the force was unable to answer non-emergency 101 calls or receive reports or enquiries via its website.

The problem was reported just before 10.30am and was resolved around 3pm.
