Take part in the mental health survey

With mental health issues becoming an increasing concern since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic last year, the leader of the opposition on
Harborough District Council is urging members of the public to take part in a new consultation.

The survey by ‘Step Up to Great Mental Health, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’ focuses on proposals to invest in, and improve, adult
mental health service for people in our area when their need is urgent or they need planned care and treatment.

Councillor Phil Knowles says: “The important thing is is to get involved. The survey takes just a few minutes to complete. The proposed changes are listed
and you are invited to have your say.”

He adds: “It is an opportunity to comment on what is needed, how its delivered. It’s a chance to add personal comments for example on
increasing use of the local community hospitals as service delivery hubs. Reducing travel needs. It’s the chance to influence the delivery
of services to meet the needs in Rural Communities and Isolated areas.”
