Swan Released After Sewage Works Rescue

A swan’s Christmas break from the wild has ended after a rather soggy rescue near Desborough.

The male bird spent four days stuck in an overflow tank at a sewage works in Stoke Albany before being taken to Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital in Kibworth.

After some TLC — and a full waterproof check — the swan has now been released back into the wild.
