Street Parties To Celebrate VE Day Anniversary

Residents across Harborough will celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with street parties.

They be held on Saturday in Clarke Street in Market Harborough and Queen Elizabeth Crescent in Broughton Astley on Saturday, while on Sunday villagers in Mowsley will get together in Main Street.

Yesterday parties were held in Mulberry Close, Lutterworth and in Rose Dale, North Kilworth

Leicestershire County Council have waived the usual fees to close roads to encourage residents to organise them.
