Sponsor Found For Harborough’s Christmas Tree Scheme

Written by on 21st September 2021

A sponsor has been found to subsidise the cost of putting Christmas trees up in Market Harborough, just a day after an appeal to find one was launched on Hfm.

Car parts firm Parkers have stepped in, meaning shops and businesses can be offered a discount on the cost of having a tree with lights installed outside their premises.

Organisers of the initiative, Alden Electrical, had said it was in doubt this year if a sponsor could not be found.

Robin Parker, Managing Director of Parkers The Parts People, said: “I saw the news on HFM and we wanted to get involved immediately to support Alden Electrical and their amazing work in installing the Christmas Trees in Harborough.

“Our Market Harborough branch on the Airfield Business Park is one of many businesses we know look forward to getting involved in the Christmas festivities so we wanted to do all we could to ensure businesses and residents of Harborough and surrounding areas have a great Christmas this year.”

Alden Electrical have expressed their thanks to Parkers and will shortly be asking retailers to sign-up to have a tree this year.
