Speed To Be Reduced On ‘Dangerous’ Road

The speed limit on the road between Kibworth and Tur Langton is to be cut from 60mph to 50mph, in a bid to boost safety.

Highway bosses at Leicestershire County Council have approved the reduction, as part of a scheme aimed at reducing accidents on roads with accident rates higher than the national average.

There have been a number of crashes on the stretch of road this year, including one last month where a car overturned – luckily no-one was seriously hurt.

New signs will now be put up along the stretch of Langton Road in Kibworth Harcourt and Kibworth Road in Tur Langton.
