‘Significant Disruption’ To Drug Production After Cannabis Factory Discovered

Police say they have dealt a major blow to drug production in Market Harborough after discovering a substantial cannabis factory.

Officers executed a warrant at a business unit on The Point Business Park early this morning and discovered between 600 and 700 plants inside.

No-one was present at the site off Rockingham Road at the time and no arrests have been made.

Leicestershire Police say the site is now being processed by forensics teams and investigations are ongoing to identify those linked to the operation.

A spokesperson said: “This has been a huge disruption to drugs being produced in our community.

“It is also a reminder that information from our community is vital in securing these finds. You can report any information about drugs via 101, online on our website or 999 in an emergency.”
