‘Shop Local’ Campaign Launches For Festive Season

A campaign to encourage people to ‘shop local’ in the run-up to Christmas has launched in Market Harborough.
It coincides with free parking in town centre car parks on the next four Saturdays, tomorrow’s ‘Small Business Saturday’ – a nationwide initiative championing independent traders – and tonight’s Christmas Fayre, which will see a number of shops staying open late.
The campaign urging people to use the town’s independent retailers is being supported by Harborough District Council and Market Harborough Chamber of Trade.
Chamber President Kyra Williams told HFM she is delighted with the free parking offer and hopes it will help drive extra customers into the town’s shops:
