Santander is to close its bank in Market Harborough.
The branch on the High Street will shut on July 1st because an increasing number of customers are using mobile and internet banking instead of visiting in-person.
It is one of 95 branches being closed by the bank nationwide, putting around 750 jobs at risk.
Santander says only 26 of its personal customers visited the branch 3 times or more between July and December 2024.

Santander in Market Harborough will close in July
A spokesperson for Santander UK, said: “Closing a branch is always a very difficult decision and we spend a great deal of time assessing where and when we do this and how to minimise the impact it may have on our customers.
“However, we believe that the introduction of our new Community Bankers and the exciting plans we have for our remaining network of 349 branches and Work Cafés, alongside the rapid and innovative improvements to our award-winning mobile banking app, will provide the right balance of digital banking and human interaction when required.”
When it shuts Santander will be the fifth bank to close in Market Harborough in two years, with Lloyds shutting its branch later this month, leaving only Nationwide and Market Harborough Building Society open.
However, a Banking Hub is now open in the Symington Building offering face-to-face service to customers from different banks.
The facility is operating from the HQ of Harborough District Council on a temporary basis, while a search continues for a permanent premises in the town centre.
