Safety Pleas As Hot Weather Continues

A warning is being issued about the dangers of swimming in open water as the hot weather continues.
The Canal and River Trust is urging people to stay out of Harborough’s canals and places like Saddington reservoir.
More than half of accidental drownings in the UK happen at inland waters.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is also urging people to take care, as the risk of wild fires is heightened during the hot spell.
