Safety Concerns Over Temporary Traffic Light Failures in Market Harborough
Written by HFM News on 17th September 2026
Safety concerns have been raised over repeated failures of temporary traffic lights at a busy Market Harborough junction.
The three-way signals on Rockingham Road and Gores Lane have been getting stuck on red in all directions, causing frustration and delays for drivers.
There have also been reports of near head-on collisions as motorists navigate the lane closures during the failures.

The temporary lights are in place until November while improvement work takes place.
Leicestershire County Council says a technical fault that caused problems yesterday has now been resolved.
The council has also been approached for comment about the frequent failures and we are awaiting a response.
