Robbers Steal Cash After Threatening Pub Owners With Knife & Screwdriver

Robbers have stolen cash after threatening owners of The George pub in Great Oxendon with a knife and screwdriver during the early hours of this morning.

Police say three men broke into the pub on Harborough Road at around 4am.

It’s believed they made off in a vehicle.

No-body was hurt, although the occupants have been left shaken by the ordeal.

Officers are looking into whether the incident is connected with a break-in at the Oxendon House Care Home of Main Street, that happened at about 5am, during which a handbag was stolen.

Anyone with information about either is urged to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
