Road Named After Much-Loved Councillor

A new road has been named after much-loved Market Harborough councillor Peter Callis, who died four years ago.

Peter Callis Way has been unveiled to link Leicester Road with the Airfield Farm development in Market Harborough.

Peter’s widow Celia and Council Chairman, Barbara Johnson were among those at the unveiling

The Liberal Democrat councilor died in 2015, aged 76, after representing the Logan Ward in Market Harborough for 24 years and being Chairman of Harborough Council twice.

Members of Peter’s family joined Council officials at the unveiling, including his widow Celia who told Hfm it’s a real honour:
