Rise In Graffiti In & Around Market Harborough Prompts New Campaign

An increase in graffiti in and around Market Harborough has prompted the launch of a new campaign.

There has been a rise in reports of daubings on buildings and street furniture in recent weeks, particularly ‘tagging’, which often has the same distinct symbol or motif.

Harborough District Council has launched the campaign, warning those responsible that spray painting or ‘tagging’ public property without permission is a crime and costly to clean-up.

It is encouraging residents who see anyone graffitiing to report it.
