Renewed Fears For Bus Services
Written by HFM News on 12th February 2019
There are renewed fears two local bus services could be axed in four months’ time.
It is still not known if the 33 town service in Market Harborough, and the 44 that links the town with Foxton and Fleckney, will continue after the current contract ends in June.

The Save Our Bus Services campaign handed in a petition last year, signed by over 2,900 people, calling for them to be retained.
Harborough Lib Dem Councillor Phil Knowles helped head up the campaign:
Both services are subsidised by Leicestershire County Council, who put them ‘at risk’ last year, as part of plans to save £400,000 a year.
A spokesman told Hfm proposals for the services will be revealed over the coming weeks.
Centre Bus, which operates the buses on behalf of the Council say they have not been informed about what will happen after the current contract ends.
