Recruitment Open Day At Desborough Fire Station Today

Desborough residents can find out today whether they’ve got what it takes to become a firefighter – at a recruitment Open Day.
The fire station on King Street is welcoming potential new recruits who’d like to discover more about being an ‘on-call’ fireman or firewoman between 2pm and 6pm.
Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service says it relies on many people to provide support to its full-time firefighters – by offering this ‘on-call’ cover on top of their usual day jobs.
Last year saw crews at Desborough called out to more than 250 emergency responses – with the station helping to support neighbouring towns such as Market Harborough deal with larger incidents.
The walk-in information session will be followed by a practical demonstration of firefighting skills.
