Rapid Covid-19 Test Centre Closes Due To Falling Demand

The Rapid Covid-19 Test Centre in Market Harborough has closed due to falling demand.

Leicestershire County Council had been operating it in the bowls hall at Harborough Leisure Centre since February, but says the wide availability of lateral flow tests elsewhere, means the number of people using it has fallen sharply, so it is no longer needed.

The decision does not affect the main NHS Coronavirus test facility, located in part of the Leisure Centre car park, which remains open.

Free lateral flow test packs are available from several locations in Market Harborough, including most pharmacies.
