Railway Bridges Set To Be Upgraded For Electrification Of Tracks

Network Rail wants to make changes to two railway bridges in Desborough in preparation for the electrification of the tracks between Market Harborough and Kettering.

It has applied for planning permission to increase the parapets of the structures on the B576 Harborough Road and on Pipewell Road, so a safe distance can be maintained from new overhead line equipment.

North Northamptonshire Council will consider the applications.
