Public Meeting Over Campaign For New Rail Link
Written by HFM News on 16th March 2024
Campaigners calling for a rail link between Market Harborough and Northampton are holding a public meeting today.
The English Regional Transport Association say it would open up a new north/south national rail corridor, linking the Midland Mainline with the West Coast main line.

The Brampton Valley Way leaving Market Harborough
The previous railway between the two towns closed in the 1980s and was replaced by the Brampton Valley Way.
Those behind the campaign say the re-laying of the tracks could retain the pathway, which is popular for walkers, runners and cyclists.
Today’s meeting is on at the Methodist Church on Northampton Road at 2pm.
