Pub Forced To Close After Flood Damage

A big clean-up is underway at the Cherry Tree pub in Little Bowden after it was flooded last night.

Water flowed into the premises on Kettering Road when the near-by River Jordan burst its banks.

Landlady Karen Evans and Landlord Phil North have been cleaning up today

Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to the pub, with the water ruining carpets and other fittings.

The popular pub remains closed as the clean-up continues, but the landlord and landlady, Phil North and Karen Evans hope to re-open it later this week.
