Probe Into ‘Illegal Dog Breeders’ Concludes

An investigation into allegations illegal dog breeders were operating in the Harborough district has concluded.

Harborough District Council’s Licensing Team launched the probe last December, after receiving information two people were acting as breeders without the necessary licences.

A council spokesperson told HFM: “Following a careful and thorough investigation by the Licensing Team one unlicensed dog breeder has submitted an application which is being processed.

“With regards to the second premises, on further investigation it was determined that based on the evidence obtained no licensable activities were being carried out, and the individual concerned had moved out of the district.”
