Probe Into Alleged Fraud ‘On-Going’

Police say an investigation into an allegation of serious fraud at Kibworth Medical Centre is ‘on-going.’

Officers were made aware of financial irregularities at the practice in Smeeton Road, part of the South Leicestershire Medical Group, in May.

The specific details of the alleged offence have not been revealed, nor the sum of cash said to be involved, but it is understood to be substantial.

Leicestershire Police say enquiries are continuing and no arrests have been made.
