Pool Re-Opens At Harborough Leisure Centre

The swimming pool at Harborough Leisure Centre has re-opened today after a two-month closure for refurbishment works.

Pool-side improvements have been made, including the installation of new tiles and the plant room has also been upgraded.

The work is part of wider on-going improvements at the Northampton Road venue and Lutterworth Sports Centre funded by Harborough District Council.

Cllr Phil Knowles, Leader of the council said: “We are pleased that the refurbishment projects at Lutterworth and Harborough leisure centres are progressing smoothly, with all targets and deadlines being met so far”.

“The pool at Harborough has undergone work to significantly improve its environmental impact and exciting new inflatable sessions will follow from 10 August.”

“Further improvements to both sites continue and other well-being projects for outreach communities are underway.

“We hope everyone enjoys the new and improved facilities.”

Centre operator Everyone Active is urging people going to swim at Harborough Leisure Centre to go along ‘beach ready’, as the on-going improvements means there are limited cubicles and showers available.
